The inalienable rights of the governed, and the power of the government, given by conditional consent of the governed, were not principals invented by Republicans or Democrats. Rather, these principals were inculcated by Patriots, both Democrat and Republican, and have been enshrined in our great country’s founding documents since the day they were set loose upon the world.
Today some try to erode our country’s foundation by casting aspersions on people they never met in a time they never lived. They maintain, most imperfectly, that imperfect men and women can have only flawed ideas. We think that is terribly ironic. Even the imperfect are entitled to their genius, and our Founding Fathers, along with all of America’s founding Patriots, men, women, and children alike, were sure right about the need for strong constitutional limits placed upon a national, or federal government. They feared, because they lived it, that if a national government’s power was not Constitutionally constrained, and thereby stopped, there would be no future limit on what that government could take. And so they Constitutionally constrained the federal government, and thereby provided future Patriots with a tool they did not have against Great Britain.
234 years hence we have a federal government wildly out of control.
One that has decided to weaponize the Department of Justice against private citizens and governors;
One that has decided to coerce private companies, so that they will coerce private citizens, to do something their conscience, religious beliefs, or just plain common sense and science may not support;
One that has decided, to quote our President, that its “patience is wearing thin” with private citizens exercising their God-given rights. Well Mr. President, our patience is wearing thin with an out of control federal government that usurps the rights of others to feed its-own power.
Angry elitists, too cowardly to show their faces or to stand proudly behind their name, duplicitously or even violently, endeavor to perpetuate this corrupt scheme of cannibalistic power.
But the story doesn’t end there; no good story would. Team Z loves old westerns—in fact, we live by the Code of the West every day—and any western watcher knows that the cowboy wearing the white hat always wins.
Modern day Patriots wear the white hat, just as our predecessors did. A patriotic, deep seated love for God, human life, and equal rights for all will win the day; that cowboy simply doesn’t lose.
Patriots don’t tow a politically correct line; they openly share their beliefs, no matter the consequences;
They don’t project their voices solely at the ballot box; they donate money, run for office, and campaign for others;
They don’t capitulate to make things easier or hide from cowardly bullies; they walk the hard path because it is the right one. As Benjamin Franklin said, “Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
This is the stuff that Patriots are made of. Are you a Patriot?
Sincerely,
Justin R. Zinzow
